Rajgundha round trek (Barot to Bir)
Situated at a height of 8900 ft. (approximately), Rajgundha Village along with Kukkar Gundha village enjoys a pleasant climate and landscape. Nestled amidst the Dhauladhar mountain ranges, Rajgundha Valley consists of several small villages that are slightly disconnected from the rest of the world.
Day 1 : Arrive Barot from Dharamshala
Barot is approx 3-4 hours drive from Dharamsala. Reach Barot in the evening and rest in hotel / riverside camping. Evening free to stroll Barot valley which is set neat Uhl river.
Day 2 : Barot – Bada Garah (Trek)
After breakfast we walk gently crossing himalayan village Bada Garah. This village is a remote village set in the Bara Bangal mountain ranges. Enjoy village foods and life style. Night in camp.
Day 3 : Bada Garah – Rajgunda
Today we trek / walk 2-3 hours which is sometimes steep downwards and some time little ascent to reach Rajgunda. This is also a remote and self sustained village full of nature and beauty. Night at Camp.
Day 4: Rajgundha – Billing
After breakfast we trek downhill towards Billing the take off point for paragliding in Bir valley. It will take approx 5-6 hours / 14kms from Rajgundha to reach Billing. At Billing you can either take a tandem flight to reach Bir or a Taxi. Evening at leisure and night at hotel.
Day 5 : Departure
Explore Bir, the markets, monsteries and the tea plantations. Enjoy lunch of you choice and later in the evening board the bus to Delhi / Chandigarh.
